Mentor Application

The goal of the University of Utah Genetics Training Program is to support and augment the training of predoctoral graduate students doing research in genetics and/or genomics, broadly defined. U of U faculty doing research in these areas contribute to our interactive community as scholars, educators, mentors, and ongoing learners. All are welcome to participate in Genetics Interest Group seminars and other community activities.

UGTP Mentors are faculty serving as primary advisors of UGTP Trainees. They are required to

  • Support their trainees’ full participation in UGTP activities

  • Complete Mentorship Training

  • Provide updates and feedback to support Program activities and funding
